We can say she is one of the new rising actresses of Hollywood. Born at L.A. in 1977, she grew up in scary parts of Hollywood. She always knew she wanted to be an actress. So when she's 16 she entered in Los Angeles High School of Arts. She began her career with some cameos in series like ER, Dangerous Minds, Crisis Center and Buffy. Her first lead part is in How to make the cruellest month by Kip Koening. This movie was presented at Sundance Film Festival'98. She played Bell Bryant a girl who is determined to complete her New Year's resolutions of quitting smoking and falling in love within the space of a month.

Later she was in other indies like Little witches, Wildflowers, Niagara, Niagara . Her first "big movie" is The Faculty by Robert Rodriguez. She co-stars with Elijah Wood, Josh Hartnett (H20) et Salma Hayek. She is Stokely, the loner outsider who with her classmates help stop an alien invasion . In 1999, she was with Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron in The astronaute's wife (she is her sister Nan). For more than 3 years she wanted to be in Girl interrupted with Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg and Vanessa Redgrave... It's done.. the movie was released at the end of 1999. We'll see her soon in But I'm a Cheerleader and Comitted. And August 8th she'll start the shooting of Ghosts of Mars the new movie of John Carpenter.
